How to Draw a School Building Step by Step

The first step. Make a sketch of a school building.

The second step. Draw straight lines and the roof of your school. The roof is to be drawn above.

How to Draw a School Building Step by Step

Each school building may be constructed in a different way. Below you’ll see a scheme of the school building we’ll draw.

We’ll draw the front side of it. Start with drawing a rectangle in the middle. It’s length should be equal to the length of the building. Draw 2 more rectangles on the sides. One of them should be located lower than the base. Besides, it should be narrower. If your building doesn’t have any twists, there is no need to draw them.

Divide the school building with straight lines in 3 equal parts. This way, your school will have 3 floors. You can measure the distance by eye or use a ruler. You divide the school in parts in accordance with the number of the floors.

There is an entrance door in the middle. Above the door, there is a visor. Below, draw a small step for the stairs you’ll draw on the next step. It should be on one and the same level as the lower part of side rectangles is. Click on the picture to see the details better.

Draw parallel lines on equal distance on each of the floors. They will be the upper and the lower part of the windows.

Draw the vertical lines to show the windows. Do it the way it’s shown on the picture. Draw the lines only where the area of the windows is. This way you won’t have to erase unnecessary lines. The windows should be of equal width. Only the last windows from both sides should be a bit narrower. However, there should as well be equal distance between them. If you see that there isn’t enough space, relocate the windows above the entrance door.

We draw the windows on the sides of the building the same way.

Erase the guiding lines. Then, draw the roof and the window frames. Your frames may be different from ours.
